Why doesn't the RecentChanges link show up? TedErnst | talk 11:43, 2 October 2006 (EDT)

Maybe I messed the Wiki template up. Damn. – Smiddle / T·C·S·A 11:52, 2 October 2006 (EDT)

Actually, it seems okay now. No worries! TedErnst | talk 11:53, 2 October 2006 (EDT)

Ooops, no, it's showing (No Recent Changes) even though there is a url here. Hmm. TedErnst | talk

It shows up at Susning.nu, though. – Smiddle / T·C·S·A 16:02, 2 October 2006 (EDT)

Have you done any spot checking to see how widespread this problem is? Seems fairly serious if it's at all widespread. TedErnst | talk 18:00, 2 October 2006 (EDT)

Here's what I see right now: (This problem is local to WikiIndex pages. If I actually go to any remote wiki and hit its own RecentChanges link, it works fine there).

  • PlanetMath looks fine -- I see a normal "RecentChanges" link.
  • Susning.nu, AsteroidMeta, EbayWiki, "Hooze" (and probably others as well) are all broken -- I see a (non-link) text that says "[No RecentChanges]", even though when I hit "edit", I see a perfectly valid-looking link after the "wiki_recentchanges_URL =" part of the template.

The only difference I see is that the "good-looking" pages include a "wiki_name = " as the first parameter in their Wiki template. The "broken" pages do not include a "wiki_name = " parameter. Their first parameter ( "wiki_logo = ") is the second parameter on the "good-looking" pages.

Is there some way to fix this without manually editing all 3,460 pages about a wiki?

If there is a way to fix this by editing just *some* pages, is there any way to find out which pages exactly, without manually investigating each of the 3,460 pages about a wiki?
