Ratchetpedia is a wiki that functions as a community hub for the Ratchet & Clank series that anyone can edit. The aim of the site is to provide a community portal for fans of the Ratchet & Clank series by providing walkthroughs and basic articles about Ratchet & Clank, while linking to further Ratchet & Clank resources. The site was founded by Sove and UxieLover1994 on March 31, 2012.
The idea for Ratchetpedia came to UxieLover1994 around October 2011 while she was editing the now-defunct Spyropedia, and after several months of working with Sove — a friend of UxieLover1994 — the site finally came into existence.

It was originally intended to become an independent Ratchet & Clank encyclopedia, but after a partnership with the Ratchet & Clank wiki was created (ending several disputes) Ratchetpedia's role was changed to become a community hub, becoming a Ratchet & Clank resource site for fans.
