DMOZ (from directory.mozilla.org; its original URL), formerly known as Open Directory Project (ODP), Gnuhoo, and NewHoo was a directory that uses an open model for editing. Although not a wiki, its method was similar to the Wiki Way. Its editing model helped to inspire Wikipedia. In 2017, parent company AOL shut down the site. Most users moved to Curlie.
