Description
The BioShock Wiki is a wiki dedicated to the action-adventure, survival horror first-person shooter game series BioShock, developed primarily by Irrational Games and 2K Marin. BioShock was released in the United States on August 21, 2007 for the Xbox 360 and PC, and October 21, 2008 for the PlayStation 3. BioShock 2 was released for PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 on February 12, 2010. The games take place in a formerly utopian city under the Atlantic Ocean, called Rapture. In the first game the player takes the part of a man named Jack, who was traveling in an airplane that mysteriously crashed near a lighthouse—the entrance to Rapture. The second game takes place roughly nine years later, and the player takes on the role of a prototype Big Daddy who awakens in the city after being mysteriously revived at a Vita-Chamber.
The wiki was founded on in July of 2007 by Grubish360. Its ultimate goal is a community effort to document everything about the BioShock series.
