Indonesia (ISO 3166 country code ID), officially the Republic of Indonesia (id: Republik Indonesia), consisting of 34 provinces, is the world's largest island nation country, situated in south-east Asia. Located between the Indian and Pacific oceans, it shares island land borders with Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Brunei Darussalam, and East Timor. Consisting of more than seventeen thousand (+17,000) islands, Indonesia is the world's fourth (4th) most populous country, as well as the most populous Muslim-majority country. Indonesia is a member of several multilateral organisations, including the United Nations (UN), World Trade Organization (WTO), International Monetary Fund (IMF), and the G20. Indonesia is a founding member of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM), the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), the East Asia Summit (EAS), the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), and the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
