The Wikimedia Affiliations Committee wiki (AffCom), formerly known as the Wikimedia Chapters Committee wiki (ChapCom), is a private workspace wiki for the Wikimedia Foundation (WMF) Affiliations Committee (formerly known as the Chapters Committee). The Affiliations Committee is a Wikimedia community committee entrusted with advising the Wikimedia Foundation Board of Trustees on the approval of new movement affiliates: national or subnational chapters, thematic organisations and user groups.

The Committee was created on 15 January 2006, by a resolution of the Board of Trustees, along with several other Wikimedia Foundation committees. Its original mandate included coordination of the development of Wikimedia chapters, which at the time were at an early stage of organisation, as well as facilitating communication among the chapters and between chapters and the Wikimedia Foundation.

In 2012, following a community discussion and a resulting Board of Trustees' resolution, the scope of the Committee was expanded to include thematic organisations and user groups. In accordance with the resolution, the Committee drafted its charter which was officially approved by the Board in August, finalising the transition into the Affiliations Committee.

The Chapcom wiki is live and active, but requires log-in to view all pages apart from the main front page. Regular contributors to the wiki include: Greg Varnum.

The Wikimedia Foundation, Inc. (WMF), founded 20 June 2003, is the wiki company and non-profit charitable organization responsible for a very large number (over 900 in total) of very active wikis, grouped together and known as 'projects'; as well as the wiki engine software initially developed by themselves, known as MediaWiki. The Foundations' major wiki projects include Wikipedia (encyclopedias), Wiktionary (dictionary and thesaurus), Wikiquote (quotations), Wikibooks (open content textbooks), Wikisource (free content primary and secondary source texts), Wikinews (news source), Wikiversity (open learning community), Wikispecies (free species directory), and many others as listed below. Most of these projects have separate wiki versions written in many different languages. There is also the Wikimedia Commons (shared repository for documents, images, videos, and other media files), Wikidata (central space knowledge base for data used on all WMF projects), and the Wikimedia Meta-Wiki (coordination of issues common to all Wikimedia projects). The Foundations' global reach is nurtured in its Incubator, where all new language versions for all projects are initiated and developed before being rolled out. Its most recent major project, Wikivoyage (a 'travelpedia'), was inducted to WMF in late 2012.

Wikimedia Foundation, Inc. is a member of the Open Source Initiative.
