SnipSnap is a wiki engine complied in Java that integrates technology from wikis and weblogs into a combined software package. SnipSnap is very easy to install, and supports wiki farming (i.e. up to 1500 wiki spaces in one web application). Except for a Java Virtual Machine, no other requirements are necessary for running SnipSnap. Most customisation can be done online during runtime. Published in seven interface languages ( German, English, French, Italian, Japanese, Swedish, and Chinese).
SnipSnap was a product of the Fraunhofer Institute Computer Architecture and Software Technology (FIRST) in Berlin, Germany, and was published for free under the GNU General Public License v2.0 (GPL v2.0).
