MicroWiki originally ''was'' MicroWikia, but abandoned Wikia when the theme was changed from Monaco. The original Wikia site was later revived, and variously goes under the names MicroWiki, MicroWikia, and a couple others. MicroWiki is a large encyclopædia about micronations, small unrecognised nations which are often rather eccentric in nature. The wiki is being continually improved and updated as the community changes constantly with content being moderated by a small group of staff. Since its creation in 2005, the site has grown to become one of the largest micronational-related websites with a total of 25,325 pages and 5,230 articles, of which 34 have achieved good article status.
Its sister wiki is MicroWikia, a Wikia lifestyle wiki with a similar mission. MicroWiki originally was MicroWikia, but abandoned Wikia when the theme was changed from Monaco. The original Wikia site was later revived, and variously goes under the names MicroWiki, MicroWikia, and a couple others. To differentiate between the two, common practice is to refer to MicroWiki.org.uk as 'MicroWiki', and the Wikia MicroWiki as 'MicroWikia'.
