Description[edit]

The official phpMyAdmin wiki.

phpMyAdmin is a tool written in PHP intended to handle the administration of MySQL over the Web. Currently it can create and drop databases, create/drop/alter tables, delete/edit/add fields, execute any SQL statement, manage keys on fields, manage privileges, export data into various formats and is available in 50 languages.

  • As of February 2014, the site was a bit glitchy, with frequent "File not found" errors from pages like http://wiki.phpmyadmin.net/pma/config.inc.php that seemed to indicate a site misconfiguration; specifically, it interprets page titles ending in .php as filenames rather than wiki pages. It also was configured to disallow non-sysops from creating new pages.
