::The experience of Wikipedia shows that stuff proposed at the Village Pump very rarely gets accepted as policy. It's hard to build consensus in that way. It seems more effective and efficient to just use the [[BRD cycle]]. The god-king method is even better in some ways, because it leaves no question about whether a proposal has been accepted or rejected by a large enough margin of users. It all comes down to one guy saying "aye" or "no" and then that decides the matter conclusively, until someone changes his mind.
