Unmaintained Free Software (UFS) was a GNU FDL-licensed wiki of unmaintained and / or orphaned free software projects which are in need of a new maintainer.[1]

Goals
  • Draw attention to unmaintained projects, to help them find a new maintainer;
  • Provide a central place where you can find unmaintained projects;
  • Prevent code forks and duplicated work of multiple aspiring new maintainers;
  • Collect statistics about unmaintained projects and research the reasons why they become unmaintained.

The Unmaintained Free Software wiki sadly became spammed, and was subsequently taken offline sometime around August 2011.
