Category:Dead: Difference between revisions

Category:Dead — 'dead' is the status and term we use here on WikiIndex to describe and identify when a specific wiki site, and / or wiki engine, and / or wiki farm is considered dead; ie, completely gone for good, never to return. When requested, their known wiki URL will fail to open and display its actual wiki site (or wiki engine or wiki farm); it might fail to display anything apart from a 'DNS error', or it might either display a '404' error, or display the site of a domain name host (domain 'parking'), cyber-squatters, or advertising, or it could automatically redirect to a totally unrelated website which is not a wiki, nor has anything in common with its original wiki site, despite using the same original URL domain.

To include a wiki site article page (or wiki engine or wiki farm page or category) into this 'Dead' category, please change the |status =  field of the Wiki infobox template (or other specific infobox template, such as wiki engine or wiki farm) to Dead. Naturally, all dead wiki sites will also automatically become read only!
