Template:Wiki Engine SnipSnap is a wiki engine complied in Java that integrates technology from wikis and weblogs into a combined software package. SnipSnap is very easy to install, and supports wiki farming (i.e. up to 1500 wiki spaces in one web application). Except for a Java Virtual Machine, no other requirements are necessary for running SnipSnap. Most customisation can be done online during runtime. Published in seven interface languages (German, English, French, Italian, Japanese, Swedish, and Chinese).
SnipSnap was a product of the Fraunhofer Institute Computer Architecture and Software Technology (FIRST) in Berlin, Germany, and was published for free under the GNU General Public License v2.0 (GPL v2.0).
