Das ErftstadtWiki ist ein Stadt- bzw. Regiowiki (Artikel in der Wikipedia) und damit ein freies und offenes Online-Nachschlagewerk rund um die Stadt Erftstadt im Rhein-Erft-Kreis in Nordrhein-Westfalen, Bundesrepublik Deutschland.
Das Ziel der Seite ist es, Wissen zur Stadt und zur Stadtgeschichte allen Bürgern (und anderen Interessierten) kostenlos, frei und übersichtlich zugänglich zu machen. Es gibt zwar in der Wikipedia bereits eine Reihe von hervorragenden Artikeln über die Stadt (insbesondere aufgrund der Arbeit von Hanna Stommel), aber viele Informationen können dort aufgrund der strengen Relevanzkriterien nicht eingetragen werden. Hier setzt das ErftstadtWiki mit einer deutlich niedrigeren Schwelle an.

The ErftstadtWiki is a city or Regiowiki (article in Wikipedia) and thus a free and open online reference work around the city of Erftstadt in the Rhein-Erft-Kreis in North Rhine-Westphalia, Federal Republic of Germany.
The aim of the site is to make knowledge about the city and the city's history accessible to all citizens (and other interested parties) free of charge, freely and clearly. Although there are already a number of excellent articles about the city in Wikipedia (especially due to the work of Hanna Stommel), a lot of information cannot be entered there due to the strict relevance criteria. This is where the ErftstadtWiki comes in with a significantly lower threshold.
