It was originally intended to become an independent ''Ratchet & Clank'' encyclopedia, but after a partnership with the [[Ratchet & Clank wiki|''Ratchet & Clank'' wiki]] was created (ending several disputes) Ratchetpedia's role was changed to become a community hub, becoming a ''Ratchet & Clank'' resource site for fans. It was decided that Ratchetpedia would cover walkthroughs and other Ratchet & Clank resources, while producing simpler articles about key aspects of the series which linked to the ''Ratchet & Clank'' wiki for further information.
