The aim of the language evening is to provide an opportunity for both linguistic and cultural exchange between native speakers of different languages.

The principle is as simple as it is ingenious: you meet in a relaxed atmosphere and chat about this and that in the respective language. Which languages ​​are spoken depends on you. As soon as enough people come together for a language, you 'found' your own table and can talk to your heart's content and exchange experiences. You have the opportunity to meet and connect with people from all corners of the world. The best part is that you don't have to register or pay any subscription. Just drop by and have a look or listen around. We meet every Tuesday from 20:00 in Café Neulicht in the socio-cultural centre Die VILLA, Lessingstraße 7. Admission free! So see you next Tuesday!

About us

The language evening is an independent project and is organised by VILLA employees who are doing their voluntary social year at the villa together with active visitors. You can find a few tips on what to do and how to contact us on the organisation page. The language evening has existed since October 2003. Since then, a language evening has taken place every week, with the exception of a short break at the turn of the year. Incidentally, the inspiration for this came from the Soirée Polyglotte in Lille (France).
