In 2018, the newspaper El Marino, commemorating its first five years of existence, applied for a project to the Fund for the Promotion of Social Communication Media, financed by the Ministry General Secretariat of Government and the Regional Council of O'Higgins, to create a website to highlight the value of the written press in the towns of the provinces of Colchagua and Cardenal Caro, creating articles on the most important newspapers in the area and digitising those that were the first to be published, for example El Porvenir de San Fernando and La Evolution of Falcons.
