Wikiunity was an international free MediaWiki wiki farm project based in Germany. It offered users the ability to create their own wikis without paying for its hosting services.

Wikiunity also formerly supported the 'WikiProject Other wikis' initiative from the German Wikipedia.

Wikiunity was co-founded by Michael 'McCouman' jr. (CEO), Tim 'SVG' Weyer (COO), and Bob 'Bwoebi' Weinand (CTO) on October 2011. But by late April 2012, the entire site was defunct!!

Wikiunity was a non-commercial project and was based on the MediaWiki software.

Moving to Wikiunity

You already got a wiki on a free wiki hoster or on an own server? No problem. You can easily move to Wikiunity. When you're on a free wiki hoster, we can save your wiki pages and images and import them invisible to your new Wikiunity project. If you're on an own server and you've access to the database, we can import your database and images. You can still stay at your current domain (or redirect it to Wikiunity) for a year without additional costs.
