This is the root category for categorization of wikis by their size. See WikiProject:By Size for more information on determining the size of a wiki.

This information is partially duplicated in a very automated way by Meta-Wiki's "Largest Wikis Page" where wikis that use the media wiki software are autosurveyed every 12 hours after being included on the list. Inclusion requires that the site have more than 8,700 "true content" pages according the the site's statistics page.

The same page has room for other wikis that meet the same "8,700 criteria" (but which must be updated by hand for lack of the same kind of statistics page) on a secondary list.
