Actually... confession time. I am back. I created a different account a few weeks after I left, because I decided it would be better to make a fresh start. I'll redirect the old user to the new one when RW comes back up, but in the meantime you can have fun guessing who it is. Not tricky though.

Archiving to /dev/null

I would normally not approve either. In this case I looked at the text in question, wondered who would miss it, concluded "nobody" and went ahead.

To clarify: Article talk pages should never be purged except in extreme cases (spam/libel/bad pr0n etc). User_talk pages are, from my POV, simply a way of passing a message to a user or (in administrative cases) highlighting a fact about a user to the community. In other words, I wouldn't have deleted a useful conversation between users, and I wouldn't have deleted a comment or warning from the wiki staff. Deleting drivel designed to annoy, on the other hand, shouldn't be controversial, and any user should be allowed to delete such from their talk page. I expected Lumenos to reinstate that edit on my talk page with a snarky italicized comment accusing me of censorship, so the revert was more of a way for me to vent my frustrations, but PH got there first.
