The G-Bar databar is based on a number of SUN servers running Solaris (a UNIX like environment), and a large number thin clients (also known as terminals). The servers is split into three categories:
-Graphical display (SunRay) server: Gray1
-Applications servers: Bohr, Erlang, Hald, Sunq01-10
-High Performance Computing (HPC) servers: Euler, Isaac, Newton
