The Gallery Codex wiki provides official documentation and support for the open source Gallery1 and Gallery2 - photo album software used by web-servers to display collections of photos uploaded by users. Originally found at Codex.Gallery2.org,[1] the wiki moved to a new URL, Codex.GalleryProject.org, to reflect support for all versions of Gallery software, including Gallery3. From July 2020, access to all special pages was blocked on this wiki. Gallery Codex is powered by MediaWiki, and uses their own custom skin, which displays all wikilinks in orange.
Gallery2 is a more-secure alternative to applications such as Coppermine, and bridge modules are available to integrate it into portals such as Joomla or PHPNuke.
