ARM, a pioneering English microchip developer and manufacturer, licenses their 32-bit RISC microprocessor core to many other chip manufacturers. Many microcontrollers have an ARM core. Some ARM-based embedded systems run Linux or RTOS.

The ARMuC Wiki, also known as the ARM microcontroller wiki, hosted at http://Open-Research.org.uk discusses these little chips, how to wire them up, how to programme them, etc.
