Electric Sheep is a distributed computing project for animating and evolving fractal flames, which are in turn distributed to the networked computers, which display them as a screensaver.
The casual user can simply install the software as a screensaver. Such a user gets to see highly abstract art, in return for allowing the user's computer to be used for rendering the next set of computer art.
More sophisticated users may create customized fractal parameter files, and submit it to the network for rendering.
