VNDS stands for Visual Novel DS. The official name, however; is DS Visual Novel Reader.
It is, obviously, a reader of visual novels on the DS.
Visual Novel DS is a visual novel reader for the Nintendo DS, developed by Jake and anoNL using C++, and can read visual novels specifically ported to the DS in the VNDS format. The most recent version of VNDS is version 1.4.9 and is not to be confused with the seemingly "newest version 1.5.3"
