I proposed earlier, somewhere! :-), that we make categories only when we have x number of links to them, otherwise we are making a bunch of category pages for one wiki. It also might be a good feature to let newbies fill in the categories... not sure, just a thought. I'd like to suggest adding a couple of categories, specifically Category:Commercial, [[:Category:FOSS]] and Category:Hosted. | |||
This would allow visitors to see a listing of all free and open-source, or all commercial wikis. The third category would allow a view of all of the hosted wikis, e.g. [[EditMe]], [[JotSpot]], [[:Category:Socialtext|Socialtext]], PBWiki etc. | |||

Hosting, free vs. commercial
I'd like to suggest adding a couple of categories, specifically Category:Commercial, Category:FOSS and Category:Hosted.
This would allow visitors to see a listing of all free and open-source, or all commercial wikis. The third category would allow a view of all of the hosted wikis, e.g. EditMe, JotSpot, Socialtext, PBWiki etc.
The only downside of this is that all existing wiki topic pages will have to have these categories added, but that could be accomplished over time.
