Memory Alpha is a Wikia entertainment wiki, a free encyclopedia and reference website for the Star Trek science fiction franchise of television series' and movies.
It should be noted that the Memory Alpha series of wikis is not endorsed, sponsored, or affiliated in any way with CBS Studios Inc., or its 'Star Trek' franchise. Furthermore, it is recognised that all Star Trek trademarks, logos, and related names are owned and / or retained by CBS Studios Inc., and are used here on WikiIndex under 'fair use' guidelines. In respect of the Wikia wikis, the latest user-created content is released under the Creative Commmons Attribution-NonCommercial license version 4.0 (CC-BY-NC 4.0). Earlier content was released under the earlier iterations of the CC-BY-NC licences (CC-BY-NC 2.5, CC-BY-NC 2.0, and CC-BY-NC 1.0), and the content added before January 2004 was released under the GNU Free Documentation License (GNU FDL, or GFDL).[1] Wikia is at pains to stress the importance of Memory Alpha: Copyrights.[2]
