Vanispamcruftisement is a catchall category of unwanted content about niche interests. The author might be promoting himself or something he's involved in, or just be an avid fanboy. Either way, the content falls outside the project's inclusion policy and therefore is deleted.
Vanispamcruftisement is not the only category of content that can be deleted from wikis; hoaxes, attack pages, and patent nonsense are examples of other kinds.
