Purpose
This shortcut template is used at the top of specific article pages or categories to provide a standardised text heading for actual disambiguation articles.
Usage
Simply highlight copy (Ctrl-c, or ⌘-c) {{Dab header}}, and paste (Ctrl-v, or ⌘-v) it at the top of the edit box of any disambiguation article needing it. Then add a bulleted list immediately below of all relevant articles and / or categories, together with a brief explanation separated by an emdash, for example:
- Dab header (EditThis.info) — hosted on the EditThis.info free wiki farm
- Dab header (Wikia) — hosted on the Wikia 'Fandom' commercial wiki farm
- Dab header (Wikispaces) — hosted on the Wikispaces commercial wiki farm
Use of this shortcut template on an article will automatically include said article into category:Disambiguation.
Don't forget to add {{disambiguation}} at the bottom of the edit box to provide the additional standard disambiguation descriptive box.
