'''archive.is''' differs from Archive.org in that it does not provide active follow-on links, and claims that ''"Saved pages will have no active elements and no scripts, so they keep you safe as they cannot have any popups or malware!"''  In effect, {{tag|archived}} URLs on archive.is are saved as a single flat page; whereas on Archive.org, they still contain live internet links (within Archive.org).

One feature of archive.is is that saved pages are available under a shortened URL link, similar to goo.gl and bit.ly.  Another feature is that it saves both a textual snapshot, and a graphical image snapshot of the archived page.
