MWiki, abbreviated as MW and formal name Wiki of the Marianas Net, is a former private wiki that contained 772 individual mainspace pages on the Marianas Web. Similar to the The Hidden Wiki, this wiki could only be accessed through a browser designated for the network it subjects on until the Marianas' Web was shut down in 8 August 2019.

History

MWiki has had many incidents and roadblocks in its history, with ambiguous knowledge and confirmability. Please note, some of this information is not factually accurate, and is subject to change.

2016-07-29 — the glitched .mnet domain is created due to an error in ICANN software.^[1]
2016-08-13 — the first Marianas Web website is created.
2016-10-12 — MWiki is created. Its founder, smooglord, would start advertising the site on several sites he owned elsewhere.
2016-12-06 to 2017-01-04 — MWiki goes through a period of inactivity (domain down) due to unknown reasons.
2017-02-27 — MWiki hits 250 pages.
2017-06-11 — MWiki turns off editing for anonymous users after a wave of vandalism.
2017-10-30 — there are 1,000 registered users of MWiki and 5 admins.
2018-01-07 — 14 pages get deleted over concerns of illegality concerned with the sites themselves.
2018-03-20 to 2018-03-27 — the Marianas Web became popularised over this period, and MWiki (as well as the entire .mnet) went offline due to privacy and potential DDoSing reasons.
2018-05-11 — CrawlerBot is created, and as a result, the wiki hits 500 pages.
2018-07-02 — MWiki hits 10,000 edits.
2018-12-30 — A disgruntled MWiki admin orchestrates the 'Christmas Hack' where the interface MediaWiki:Vector.css

page was vandalised to display the message: "THIS WIKI WAS WRECKED BY BLOCKY'S FUNNY DOINGS". The changes were reverted hours later, and the offending admin was banned.

2019-01-20 — The same admin attempts to blackmail the creator of the wiki in order to take ownership; it fails and the admin was eventually blacklisted from both MWiki and several other smoog-owned sites.
2019-07-31 — Last known backup and archive of the MWiki.
2019-08-08 — ICANN finds and fixes the .mnet bug, and the Marianas Web shuts down along with the wiki.
