WeRelate.org is a free web search engine and wiki site for genealogy from the Foundation for On-Line Genealogy, Inc., and is about social networking, sharing research, and collaboration.
In order to create new pages, or edit existing pages, you need to confirm a valid e-mail address. The site also prefers that editors use real names. It uses the popular MediaWiki software, and obtains revenue by way of GoogleAds. However, the site makes no guarantee of validity or accuracy – and this was very evident from glaring mistakes on their main page 'featured page' of 5 November 2012, which has a map of Germany incorrectly highlighted with the supposedly correct location of the state of Bavaria!
