Kubachi(Zerechgeran) is a Caucasian mountain village of goldsmiths and silversmiths, well known in Europe and the East for this craft and, earlier, for arms and armor since the eleventh century AD. With a population of 2500, it is in the highlands at 2000 meters. The art of goldsmiths and jewelers from the Kubachi has been recognized worldwide.
