Though historically wikis about cities have had difficulty, the LA Wiki is the fastest-growing city wiki in the United States. The website hoasts entries about the people, events, universtities, bands, places and elements of Los Angeles which are unique. For example, it includes information about local events, advice for classes to take or not take at UCLA, where to find the cleanest bathrooms in town and how a poor student can best pack a to-go box from the local restaurant buffets.
