| * The ability to easily backup and move all your favorite articles in the wiki. Actually, for you the advantage of Lumeniki, is that Lumenos does backups periodically. This can be done from "Special pages / Export pages" (upload can only be done by administrators, however). "[[User:Lumenos|Lumenos]] 00:50, 10 August 2009 (EDT) I get the list of pages from "Special pages / All pages" copy and paste to a spreadsheet. This lets me copy each column into the exporter box. MediaWiki will generate a list of categories although this list is more difficult to clean up. Lumeniki suffered minimal losses when [[ScribbleWiki]] and their "backup service" went down the toilet, while much more popular wikis died due to lack of backups. If Referata becomes unavailable, I will probably upload the most recent backup to Wiki-site, redirect some external links to Lumeniki and we are back in business. The hardest part is that we would have to redirect all the links to Lumeniki from external sites. For example, Wikiindex would have to point to the new wiki or it will look like Lumeniki is dead. A text editor with "find and replace" makes this easier but it is still so much work I may not bother with many of them."
