Media wiki is probably the most widely deployed wiki software. Through [[Wikipedia]] it gets a lot of exposure to non-technical users. Perhaps it is this feedback which has allowed the developers to create a very useable software design, which elegantly hides the more advanced wiki features. | |||
Some would argue that a wiki should be more simplistic, with fewer features, but the design avoids many of the clutter/feature-creep problems appearing other mature wiki engines, and it's success speaks for itself. | |||
