On Sept 7, 2009 the content of the site http://www.wikisynergy.com/ was inaccessible (to most users) and had this message:


"This site is currently shut down.
On Sept 7, 2009, the content of the site http://www.wikisynergy.com/ was inaccessible to most users. On Sept 19th, it was open to public view, with this message, "The site is currently closed to editing except by administrators, during our transition to a committee-lead structure."
 
Viewing and editing are impossible at this time, and you cannot get an account. We hope that this site can continue, but as of now it it cannot. There is currently no solution to the situation.
 
The reason is that the threat level to the founder is unacceptable. If even one of the several people who know who I really am make an accidental slip (as already happened once), I could be subject to a campaign of harassment and lies which will deeply effect my life. I had planned to continue my campaign to combat pseudoscience from the skeptical and proponent communities, by providing a place where skeptics and proponents could hash out their differences in a collegial environment. However, there will be those whose ideas we debunk, because they are unscientific. The site is intrinsically a place for controversy and dispute. I know that in the future, the risk would only get worse. I cannot risk my real-world life, or my real-world material existence, in order to help the arena of fringe ideas progress to a higher level.
