AdvocacyWiki was a project (started 17 February 2007) that aimed to provide fast accessible support for independent advocates across the United Kingdom.

Independent advocates focuses on supporting vulnerable and marginalised people to make their voices heard so they can access better services.

Independent advocates work with:

  • people with mental health problems
  • people with learning disabilities
  • children in care
  • older people
  • people with disabilities
  • refugees and other BME groups
  • and many others.

AdvocacyWiki aggregates resources to help advocates work more effectively. It works in partnership with other advocacy networks and support organisations.

The wiki is now offline, but you can still contact the wiki creators by writing to them - c/o Advocacy Action, 21 King Street, Wakefield, WF1 2SR - or calling them on +44(0)1924 376168.
