Equestripedia's primary goal is to be an expansive {{tag|encyclopedia}} dedicated to everything relating to ''My Little Pony'', and everything that entails within the massive franchise.  Its current primary objective is to have detailed articles regarding characters, their day to day lives, histories, personalities and relationships to one another.  Its secondary goals is to have detailed descriptions of episodes, comics and to have detailed articles about the lore and world of ''My Little Pony'', from the various cultures, historical figures, towns and so on.  Finally, the wiki's least important prioritized goal is to have content regarding the ''My Little Pony'' fanbase, such as fanfictions, comic, games, characters and so on.
 
The wiki's format, style and methods were primarily based off of [[Transformers Wiki (tfwiki.net)|tfwiki.net]], [[Hetalia Kitawiki]], [[Wikisimpsons]], and the [[Peanuts Wiki]].
