The GeboGebo wiki engine from Germany was primarily used by wikihost.org, a free wiki farm, also from Germany. GeboGebo is compiled from the little-known tdbengine software. It does not use CamelCase for creating wikilinks. The name GeboGebo is derived from the Germanic rune gebo, which translates into 'giving and taking' – this is a very good ethos for a 'wiki'. Inspired by the DokuWiki wiki engine software, GeboGebo was independently developed by Thomas Friebel for tdb Software Service GmbH.
