Comixpedia was founded in early September 2005. It was a free content encyclopedia specializing in webcomics. The owner and host of this website is Comixpedia.com, a webcomic magazine. Comixpedia can be considered a fork of Wikipedia, as it was born out of the Wikipedia project and is even edited by members of the Wikipedia community. However, it is based in an entirely different set of goals from Wikipedia.
Every week or so, until 2013, we present a new webcomic-related article. Some articles are about webcomics, some are about webcartoonists, and others are just about webcomics in general. Either way, feel free to add to the article and help our encyclopedia grow if you have some knowledge in the area!
