Hello David, welcome to WikiIndex! Glad to see you are jumping right in! (and that this is a belated welcome) Best, MarkDilley
- Thanks for the welcome. I suppose I'd better get my user page up and running. David Shepheard 22:07, 10 April 2009 (EDT)
- Great! A funny thing about the user page here - if you are using your real name - we like to do this criss cross thing - like my pages MarkDilley and User talk:MarkDilley - please go ahead and do that if you want. ~~ MarkDilley
- Hmm. That would probably make me look like a spammer on Wikipedia. I'd get tagged for being a nobody. But if that is what you do here, I'll give it a go. David Shepheard 07:30, 11 April 2009 (EDT)
- I've done it. Hope it looks ok. If anyone has any problems with this, please add a new topic to my discussion page. David Shepheard 12:27, 12 April 2009 (EDT)
- Hi David! Looks excellent - you are rocking! Best, MarkDilley

Good idea David
How can I support you starting the 'upgradabilty' of personal pages?
I use this format at some wikis (example):

Best, MarkDilley
- separate note regarding 'However, a lot of user pages do seem to be written in a very random fashion and I wonder how much usefulness someone will get from visiting a page that is not an encyclopedic entry about the person.' - I don't think we are building an encyclopedia here. Cheers, MarkDilley
Drizztpedia
Hi David,
I'm sure you have your hands full editing several wikis, but I just noticed a wiki amongst the uncategorized pages and I thought you might be interested in it. It's Drizztpedia on Wikia. So far, it hasn't gotten a lot of love. However, since I think of you as the keeper of the flame of all things D&D-related, I thought you'd want to know about it, even if you don't choose to contribute there.

- Thanks for the link. (I won't be adding anything, as I've not got a single one of the Drizzt novels, but it was very thoughtful for you to send this to me.) I'm told that Forgotten Realms Wiki originally started off with a high percentage of Drizzt articles, so it looks like the founders of this wiki may be reinventing the wheel (instead of just setting up a Drizzt portal at Forgotten Realms Wiki).
- When I went for a visit the wiki was not working properly, so I've reported it to Wikia. David Shepheard 16:35, 17 March 2010 (EDT)
Mistipedia logo
You're welcome. I found a simple way to find the logo (which is often a bit of a trick with MediaWiki sites). If you use Firefox, select "Page Info" from the Tools menu. Then click on the "Media" tab. This will show the various media that appear on the page (usually images, but not limited to that). There may be an equivalent in Internet Explorer, but I haven't tried looking for it. --MarvelZuvembie 21:56, 17 March 2010 (EDT)
