Hi Mark. Trying to follow on Category:French. Think it could be complex to multiply the categories language. How about using redirection ? I mean but still not sure for our future french and other languages subcommunity...

We could also invite people to tag articles with some tags I just found on YelloWikis :

  • the ability for peopale to type some characters
  • the ability to understand all these languages

I see you picked right up on that! you might use the template:inactive, i think it's a bit easier?

yes, there are something like 200 inactives and 100 defuncts, but many overlap, so maybe only 250 in total :-)

Hi raymon. no reason at all to use the old template. I did not invent the previous one (this wiki-syntax if still too much complicated imho...). Just tested the new inactive template on ZaurusWiki to achieve Z inactive letter. Nice. Will follow-up soon to review Y,X,W and so on. Thanks for your new suggestion. Seems much more simple to use. Thanks. Just discovering through an update of Portail Communauté the difference between "template" and "boilerplate". Still not found the right words in french... For the moment, I've translated template with "gabarit". Should we suggest french people to use Template:Wiki_Boilerplate. For me (New Template) is still confusing... on Community Portal. definition of inactive

I noticed you asked about a spam-filled wiki and changing to inactive. I think the idea is that NeedsLove covers spam-filled as long as the engine itself still works. Inactive is only if the site isn't there anymore, or isn't a wiki anymore. TedErnst | talk 14:18, 25 Feb 2006 (EST)
