Used to sign anonymous unsigned comments, as no User page should exist for anonymous IPs. This template is similar to Template:Tl.
Usage
All parameters
{{subst:unsignedIP|user name|date}}
- user name
- name or IP of user who left comment
- date
- datestamp from edit history (remember to label it UTC)
The datestamp from the edit history appears in your local time that is set in your preferences.
In order for the time to be UTC, adjust it using the difference you designated between the server time and local time.
Examples
- With date parameter
Typing: {{subst:unsignedIP|255.255.255.255|11:15, 24 January 2008 (UTC)}} will yield:
—Preceding unsigned comment added by 255.255.255.255 (talk) 11:15, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- Without date parameter
Typing: {{subst:unsignedIP|255.255.255.255}} will yield:
—Preceding unsigned comment added by 255.255.255.255 (talk)
