- Purpose
This shortcut template is used at the top of specific article pages or categories to provide a standardised text heading for actual disambiguation articles.
- Usage
Simply highlight {{Disambiguation header}}, copy (Ctrl-c or ⌘c on your keyboard), and then paste (Ctrl-v or ⌘v) it at the top of the edit box of any disambiguation article or category needing it. Then add a bulleted list immediately below of all relevant articles and / or categories, together with a brief explanation separated by — (emdash); for example:
- Disambiguation header (EditThis.info) — hosted on the EditThis.info free wiki farm
- Disambiguation header (Wikia) — hosted on the Wikia 'Fandom' commercial wiki farm
- Disambiguation header (Wikispaces) — hosted on the Wikispaces commercial wiki farm
Usage of this shortcut template on an article or category will automatically include it into category: Disambiguation.
Don't forget to add {{Disambiguation}} at the bottom of the edit box (immediately above any additional categories) to provide the additional standard disambiguation descriptive footer information banner.
