aditional categories
Mark's calling these folksonomy categories. Is their use written down anywhere? I don't see the need to make them display on the page since they display when viewing the article anyway. Maybe this needs documentation? TedErnst 17:18, 19 Jan 2006 (EST)
Yes, that's exactly what I'd suggest. They show up in the footer in the default skin. Otherwise, maybe we ought to have a Template:MoreCat that will give you the display text you're looking for, rather than having to remember the codes all the time. I don't know. What's the purpose of having it show up twice? TedErnst 17:26, 19 Jan 2006 (EST)
You deleted altorgwiki for inappropriate content... what does that mean? MarkDilley
re: tags
Looks great! TedErnst | talk 11:16, 27 Jan 2006 (EST)
I don't know much about templates, except from messing with them. I know John had a problem with formatting which is why he added bullets to the tag template originally. I'm not sure what else to say about it, actually. TedErnst | talk 12:21, 27 Jan 2006 (EST)

excellent!
Re: Template question
Seem ok to me check out Notebook
Unable to solve the problem seems best not to use templates in-line with text.
Thanks Raymond
Hi Raymond, thanks for helping out with the categories on the PattayaWiki entry I initiated. I am new to Wikis and wasn't quite sure how to place it. I initially created loads of category tags which I now realize was a mistake, Harry Wood cleared them up and I have also written to him via his User Talk page.
The main guy behind the Pattaya Wiki is Pete who has been running the PattayaTalk.com forum for about a decade - it's an excellent forum with a lot of knowledgeable regulars. I suggested a wiki because I noticed how a lot of excellent contributions were submerging over time and the same questions were being asked again and again; veteran users were becoming antagonistic towards newbies who apparently didn't know how to use the search feature. I had never run a wiki but am a heavy Wikipedia user and am convinced that, if we can dig out all the wisdom that has been shared over the years in forum and refashion it for the wiki, it will be an extremely useful resource.
I believe that the subject matter is legitimate and, as more and more people relocate or retire to Thailand, it is important that they be informed not only of the highlights but also the pitfalls.
