'''Wikisimpsons''' is a [[wiki]] for fans of the ''{{tag|The Simpsons}}''. It is an expanding database on all aspects of The Simpsons.

The wiki was started on the 24th September {{tag|FoundedIn2005|2005}} by Postbagboy who didn't make a single main space edit and left. Since then, the wiki has gone through several transformations, getting a new skin in the beginning of 2010 and a new team of admins.

On the 24th September 2010, Wikisimpsons had its fifth birthday. In October 2010, a decision was made to split away from {{tag|Wikia}} and become hosted on {{tag|ShoutWiki}}. This was due to a new skin released by Wikia and arguments with the staff. [[User:Solar Dragon|Solar Dragon]] became the founder and steward of this new wiki. In June 2011, Wikisimpsons completed its move to independence. It now runs on {{tag|MediaWiki}} with a nice {{tag|custom skin}}. It has since grown very quickly, now beating it's Wikia competitor by over 10,000 articles.

For April Fools Day 2012, it was "changed" to a Family Guy Wiki for a day. On project pages, many words like "Homer" and "The Simpsons" were changed to their Family Guy equivalent.
