Template:DeadEL: Difference between revisions

This [[:Category:Housekeeping templates|housekeeping template]] is meant for tagging any <u>external links</u> which are unreachable (archived, 404 error, redirect to domain registration or search engine site, etc).  Instead of simply deleting said link, tag the dead link by adding <code><nowiki>{{DeadEL}}</nowiki></code> at the end of the URL (leaving a space), so that others may be prompted to search any online archives such as the [[Archive.org|Internet Archive WaybackMachine]] or similar.  Useage of this tag will automatically include article (or [[Special:Categories|category]]) into [[:category: FindDeadURLs]].
