'''Wikiscan''', located at <tt>https://Wikiscan.org</tt>, is a website which produces and displays <u>independent</u> {{tag|statistics}} on {{tag|Wikipedia}} and other [[WhatIsWiki|wikis]] hosted by the {{tag|Wikimedia Foundation}} (WMF).  "Wikiscan is not linked to the Wikimedia Foundation , the statistics published here are not official".  Wikiscan was created by a volunteer [[user]] from {{tag|Paris}}, France, in {{tag|Founded in 2011|2011}}.  It is hosted on the servers of [[Wikimedia France]].  As of September 2021, Wikiscan generates statistics from 934 separate wiki sites of the WMF.

Individual reports of Wikiscan outputs are located at sub-domains of <tt><nowiki>https://Wikiscan.org</nowiki></tt>.  Being as Wikiscan primarily concentrates on the various [[:Category:Wiki language|language]] versions of Wikipedia, the Wikiscan URLs mirror the individual language abbreviation for the Wikiscan sub-domain identifier; for example, the Wikiscan URL for the [[English Wikipedia]] is <tt><nowiki>https://en.Wikiscan.org</nowiki></tt>, the [[Norsk Wikipedia|Norwegian Wikipedia]] Wikiscan URL is <tt><nowiki>https://no.Wikiscan.org</nowiki></tt>, the [[Chinese Wikipedia]] Wikiscan URL is <tt><nowiki>https://zh.Wikiscan.org</nowiki></tt>, etc.  Other Wikimedia Foundation project wikis are configured with their language abbreviation merged in front of their project name; so the [[English Wiktionary]] is found at <tt><nowiki>https://enwiktionary.Wikiscan.org</nowiki></tt>, the [[English Wikiversity]] is at <tt><nowiki>https://enwikiversity.Wikiscan.org</nowiki></tt>, the [[Wikibooks (English)|English Wikibooks]] is located at <tt><nowiki>https://enwikibooks.Wikiscan.org</nowiki></tt>, [[English Wikisource]] is at <tt><nowiki>https://enwikisource.Wikiscan.org</nowiki></tt>, and [[English Wikinews]] will be found at <tt><nowiki>https://enwikinews.Wikiscan.org</nowiki></tt>.  The other language versions of the various projects mirror the English examples, but the notable exceptions are the multilingual wikis; [[Wikimedia Commons]] is found at <tt><nowiki>https://commons.Wikiscan.org</nowiki></tt>, whereas [[Wikimedia Wikidata]] is found at <tt><nowiki>https://wikidata.Wikiscan.org</nowiki></tt>, and so on.
