I replaced the hard link yesterday as to have a Image-Page with categorization [[:Category:WikiLogo|WikiLogo]]. I'd prefer a hard link integrated in each downloaded Image. The Wiki-Pages will be rendered consistently (often faster). Maybe there's only a technical refinement on the Wiki-template and we can have both: the link to the website ('''!''' we ''have it already:'' beside the logo) '''and''' a Image-Page with a helpful usage link. --[[User:Peu|Peu]] 03:19, 23 October 2006 (EDT)

: Lots of hours of work went into converting all wiki images on this site to be hard links.  Please do not change that policy without talking with others about it.  Sean Fennel did most of the work, so let's make sure to get his opinion.  Ray King and Mark Dilley also felt it was important for the image link to be intuitive, to take people to the wiki in question rather than to the image page.  You make a strong case for a reversal in course, but it's going to take more than 3000 edits to make your idea into reality, so let's go slow in making the policy.
